Chris Parker has received awards for generating ideas that save the state money and for empowering working people. An expert in tax law, he is regularly recruited to speak at conferences and share his knowledge of state taxation issues with thousands of attorneys from across the country. Chris has serves on a number of special committees within the Franchise Tax Board that improve the work environment and reduce disparities for the disabled.
Chris Parker’s interest in public service began at an early age when he worked difficult jobs in order to help the family make ends meet. A product of humble beginnings, he believes in fairness, integrity and rewarding those who work while holding accountable those who cheat. Having observed the struggles of his single mother, Chris is determined to make a difference in the lives of those who work hard yet struggle to provide for their families.
Chris Parker received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law and has an LL.M. degree in Taxation, a M.S. in Biomedical Science from Barry University, and B.S. in Biology from the University of Puget Sound.
He is a member of California Attorneys in State Employment (CASE), the American, State, and County Bar Associations, and the American Constitution Society.
